stellar_raven's Icons and Graphics Journal

I had all my icons uploaded to Photobucket, and since they've stopped allowing 3rd party hosting without paying $400, and since there's no way I'm paying that, I'll be slowly reposting all my icons. I went with new posts as opposed to editing, because (1) I'd like to start fresh, and (2) I apparently renamed some of the icons on my computer after I uploaded them to PB, so I'm not 100% sure I've got the exact same icons here as in the original post.

Before I post the icons I have to say that I am most proud of the three Friedrichs and the two Arthur Rackhams. The Friedrich icons because I discovered this wonderful painting yesterday and have just been enthralled with it ever since. I not only made the icons and the FO banners, but also a banner for this community's profile page. The Rackham icons I'm proud of because I very carefully colorized the original illustrations (the second one was particularly tricky), and think they turned out quite nicely. Look for an all Rackham entry from me sometime in the future.

The Ophelia bars were made awhile back at the request of ophelias_fate, I've only just now gotten enough icons made to include them in a post. I'd also made a few Empress Elisabeth icons since my last post, so I figured I'd go ahead and include them in this post.

I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed making icons from pieces of art...it's really very relaxing for me. More than half of these are from Pre-Raphaelite artists, the rest are from other paintings that I find visually pleasing. The love bars I made due to a suggestion/request made by parsephoni, but anyone is free to use them if they so desire. I hope you like them. :)

A couple of these (#'s 11 & 12) I'm not too sure about. The original picture wasn't the best quality, but I loved it so much that I tried to clean it up as best as I could. I dunno...

Also, there's only about 6 different pictures/portraits used here...I made a couple of versions of each icon. Some have text, some are blank, etc.

This is the first batch. I mainly only played around with colors, tint, sharpness and the like, these paintings are so beautiful, there's not much that needs to be done to them. There's a few versions of most icons. Some are cropped differently, some have slight variations in color/tint/etc.
